After having watched endless previews of Resort and Spring 2027 there’s a total juxtaposition keeping us on high alert.
It seems like the “industry” is desperately trying to push the comeback of the skinny jeans. Skinny and slim-cut denim are making their strongest comeback since the late 2010s, led by designers rather than mass retail.
Because in reality, in “real” life, we are seeing baggy, anti-fit jeans, for both him and her.
Streetlooks may include one or the other – skinn-ier or slimmer – pair of jeans, but the general vibe out there is definitely still oversized and relaxed.

This as the bridge between the baggy era and the skinny revival.

The industry is not abandoning baggy jeans overnight, but the era of oversized denim dominating every collection is fading.
