Founded in 2013 by industry veteran, Per Fredriksson, C.O.F. Studio was born from the idea of collaboration with trusted suppliers and experts, aligning Swedish design sensibility with Italian and Japanese heritage craftsmanship.

The name reflects their ethos: a “Circle Of Friends” across fabric mills, hardware makers, and garment makers all driven by quality and passion.
Their denim sourced mainly from Candiani (Italy) and Kuroki Mills (Okayama, Japan). Both steeped in sustainable, high-grade weaving practices.
Jeans are hand‑sewn in Portugal using top-tier components: organic cotton, stainless steel donut buttons, copper rivets, jacron leather labels, and vintage hardware proudly made in Europe.

Handmade in limited batches, each pair is traceable to its fabric mill, hardware maker, and seamstress – highlighting transparency and integrity.
C.O.F. Studio is part of Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS, a non-profit program Their vision is to set requirements throughout the supply chain in the textile manufacturing using organically produced raw materials.
You’d appreciate C.O.F. Studio if you are all about selvedge denim made with transparency and sustainable intent. And being that the brand’s jeans are definitely not mass produced, if you appreciate jeans crafted through small-scale European production.
Also worth noting is that C.O.F. jeans fade and soften very well. Meaning that the more you wear your jeans, the more they will show your “personality”. For instance, more faded on the back pocket where you usually put your wallet. Or the natural distressing along the back of the knees.
